Selling due to change of work meaning need 'real' van to load up with building materials tools. Can't keep vehicles sadly so the VW must go, it's been great for our family trips taking our two boys out. It's little rough around the edges and needing some TLC to sort the couple of rusty bits, but otherwise really reliable old Dub that's been great to us over the past year of owning it.
2.4D but with 2.5 tdi turbo bolted on. New turbo internals were fitted and the engine serviced at the same time. fitted EGT and boost gauges to monitor the engine and never had any issues since fitting the turbo, running around 0.7-8 psi boost with adjustable controller. Makes the engine quieter, more driveable by no means fast but you can overtake, pull up hill and get out of junctions etc much easier than without the turbo.
Would benefit from the 5th gear mod to improve the ratio as the revs are quite high at motorway speed, as result would just cruise amongst the artics on the motorway at 50-60mph.
Central locking on the key works from the passenger door to operate tailgate, sliding door and passenger door. fitted new actuator in the drivers door but couldn't get it to function correctly so left it unplugged.
6x9" speakers in centre console unit, with cup holder cut outs, intended to carpet at some point but currently painted primer grey.
I roller painted it last year with rustoleum combo colour... Remainder of two tins can be included for touching up. Not mirror finish by any means but presentable.Photos show some rusty bubbles that have come through and chips on rear bumper. Photos also to show hole in front of the O/S rear wheel, behind sill. One other hole in sliding door runner, which is causing the door to be stiff to open, works once roller is up and out of the hole.
