1969 Clark Cortez Motorhome     20' Class A.     The original owner used this Cortez for many years before his passing. He willed the vehicle to friend that was not interested in 'long distance' outdoor activities, and the vehicle sat for quite some time without being started and/or driven, before the second owner decided to sell it. My wife and purchased the Cortez with the plan to get it up and running and use on camp-outs for ourselves and the grand kids. However, my wife changed jobs about that time, and new job required she work week-ends. So, with no camp-outs planned for the future, we have decided to get it running, then put it up for sale. It has been covered it's whole life, when not in use. The original and second owner kept in in RV garage. My wife and have kept it covered in sided canopy at local RV storage facility.
DRIVETRAIN:      Ford 351 small block V8     4 speed manual transmission     Front wheel drive     Drum brakes all around
INTERIOR: Interior is in very good to excellent condition. Original vinyl seats and door panels have no rips or tears; although there is one 'rub-through' about 2" long, on the outside edge of the front facing rear seat that has couple of stitches, requires more attention to detail to finish the repair. No water stains on interior headliner, no signs of any water leaks. Counter tops and sink  excellent condition. To the best of my knowledge, all appliances are original, and according the second owner, were working while the original owner was using the vehicle. Factory A/C installed, but needs to be charged to blow cold. Also has CB radio and portable small screen TV that pulls out from rear cabinet rotates towards dining/seating area. Small gun rack and interior fishing pole hangers. Bathroom has shower hose long enough to shower inside or open small bathroom window and shower outside. Mirror on wardrobe door and bathroom are excellent...no cracks.
EXTERIOR: Cortez has an exterior awning, although have not opened it since purchase. And roof mounted storage unit.....that have opened. The '69 Cortez models year have driver side door and rear entry/exit....no passenger side door. Full size rear screen door (not mounted, but included). Vinyl spare tire cover is also included, but does not fit the larger than original size tire/s. This model year does not have an external generator, but does have small amount of room in rear battery compartment that might fit small 'Honda' style generator.  Following is list of new and/or rebuilt parts and other misc items that have been purchased while working on this vehicle on part time basis the last few months, with the help of friend and licensed mechanic.     Weber barrel carb  -  re-built     Gas tank removed, acid bath, restored re-installed     8 spark plugs            new     Ignition wires            new      Distributor cap          new     Rotor/points          -     new         Ignition coil          -     new     Engine air filter      -    new     Fuel filter                 new     Engine driven          fuel pump           new     Electric fuel pump     new     Stainless braided fuel line           from tank to engine driven            fuel pump          -   new      2 front tires mounted          and spin balanced new*note As precaution, I strongly advise the new owner have the vehicle transported off site, versus planing to driving it off site.     The vehicle is drivable, but brakes are not the greatest. They work, pedal is firm, but has more 2" travel before they engage. My friend and have pulled the front wheels off, and inspected the drums and linings...both are fine on both sides. We replaced the self-adjuster springs and adjusted the brakes. Master cylinder is full and does not leak. The most likely 'suspect', believe, is the brake boost unit.
Vehicle is sold 'AS-IS', transport by new owner at new owners expense. $500 Pay-Pal deposit within days of close of auction, balance upon delivery by cashier's check or cash, and delivery within 10 days of auction close.
