Westfalia have always been the premium campervan conversion and the condition of this gorgeous vehicle shows why that's the case. Spec includes: The big strong 150 2.5TDI, this van cruises effortlessly at 90mph doing just 3000rpm and will easily top 100mph. It drives like luxury car and is "swiss watch" reliable. It comes with Air Conditioning that can be controlled Front Rear, Diesel Night Heater, Compressor Fridge/Freezer, Pop Top with large double bed The Freestyle model comes with extra roof insulation, easy lift hydraulics and the upper bed can be elevated for extra head room or even removed for weight saving. The roof canvass is still in perfect original condition. Below is the Rock Roll Bed/Seating it slides into various positions allowing ultimate versatility and can be removed easily without tools. The flooring throughout is slip proof, stylish, tough and durable. Furniture includes cooker/sink/chest fridge unit that houses waste water tank with internal controls and ample storage space. The gas cooker itself can be removed and even be used outdoors if required, the sink (with original tailored bowl) has an electric tap which runs from the onboard water tank hidden below the wardrobe where you also find the big 12v leisure battery. The water tank is filled from cap outside and that feature is unique to only these later models. You have 240v electric hook up as well as 12v Leisure battery systems all working perfectly. The front seats are like all of it beautifully upholstered and still in perfect original condition, they swivel to face the rear and the folding table housed inside the rock roll bed box sits inbetween. There are NO squeaks or rattles! The Freestyle options also included drivers side door safe, various matching Brandrup pocket systems that integrate beautifully with the rest of the van. (See pics). In the boot you only have the rear bed section and the back of the wardrobe. This also houses the Gas bottle to run the cooker. The bed section cushion with zip off cover, tilt as well as slide out. You can easily create space big enough for mountain bikes inside the van and still use the seats. once transported an upright Piano in one! Outside you obviously have near perfect, rust free original Reflex Silver paintwork, chunky strong original VW alloys, wearing near new Bridgstone Van Tyres, the fabulous original, strong VW bike folding alloy rack, Roof Bar attachments and Brandrup awning rail are all very useful extras. In 2003 Volkswagon started to produce their own Californias and it's clear to see that they tried hard to copy these top of the line Westfalia creations but sadly failed dismally. The quality of the build here speaks for itself, everything still works perfectly and will still do in 20 years. Anyone who knows Westfalia vans will agree that this is the very best VW Camper ever made and one in original condition, with such low mileage and full history is incredibly rare almost one off! know that when this drives away will regret selling it, but building work beckons here and have too many toys really. Residual values of these rare vehicles are excellent, if maintained and cherished in the way that it has been to date the value will like other classic VWs only increase.
