Full professional interior and exterior valet May 2020, with months paint guard and de-tarring work carried out.Seeing as the van is 15 years old, there are few quirks we need to mention:
The remote central locking key needs new battery, the central locking it’s self works fine. The key has also broken where you would attach it to your keys.
There are some rust spots that we have had checked, they do not affect the over all condition of the bodywork, and are purely cosmetic issue.
The van is fully UK registered, but we have never changed the Northern Irish registration from when it was moved over few years ago. This can be changed back to it’s registered UK registration if you wish to.
There is small water leak coming from hairline crack (yet to be located due to size!) in the header tank, which does not affect the van’s performance, we just ensure we top it up before every long journey as part of general maintenance and good practise.
Conversion Description
A home converted T5 ready to take you on your next adventure. With an orange and blue colour scheme throughout, this cosy van is truly unique, and pays homage to the old school VW busses of the 60’s. Pop the bed board up and you have full standing capacity for when you’re cooking, and swivel the passenger chair round for even more space to chill after long day.The conversion consists of work top with cupboard storage for all your weekend essentials such as pots, pans and cooking equipment, plus cool box fridge (which comes included!) and >20L water storage.
The bench seating doubles up as storage underneath, perfect for clothes and sleeping bags, and when you open the back doors, there is secret storage for muddy boots or wet towels after day exploring the mountains or chilling on the beach.
We’ve also upgraded the sliding door panel to Kiravans branded storage unit to maximise on space and hold essentials that need quick access!We’ve upgraded the seats to bucket style singles for extra comfort and style, as mentioned above the passenger seat swivels on base that also includes locked safe storage, opening the space up even more.We’ve decided not to install gas to the van for safety reasons, but there is no reason this couldn’t be done, as the design of the worktop unit means it is easily removable for this conversion. We’ve kept the worktop minimal, and so cooking is done on two camping stoves which can be packed away in the specifically designed cupboard storage. Water is stored in 10L water butts with taps.This van has been off grid designed, and so doesn’t have hook up, however the leisure battery which is charged off the main battery through driving, can easily last an evening with the lights on and two phones charging.When you’re ready to settle down, close the curtains with ease, cover the windscreen with the Stitches and Steel branded black out cover, and tuck yourself in with hands free movie using the Ipad holder which we’ll throw in with the van.If you’re ready for weekend of adventure in the wild, this is the van for you! Find your perfect pitch up spot and open the sliding door to the most amazing view. With coffee in hand you can have wash in the local stream later, the day is calling.This van has been our pride and joy for years now, but due to our growing family, it’s time to give it up to someone who can carry on it’s adventures.
