Your looking for VW Camper right?All you can find is ones with high mileage right?Today is your day because this VW Camper has just 88289 miles from new.Her name is 'Lucy' (please see number plate).She was 1st owned by VW in 1994 then the gentleman we bought her from purchased her in 1995 and owned it until January this year when we bought her.He kept her fully serviced and looked after her well and she comes with full service history in the book as well as all the original manuals.We even have the original registration document and full print out of the MOT history verifying the lowest mileage on any VW T4 out there. Seriously where can you find T4 with under 100k£?Lucy is petrol so if you live in one of those cities or towns that are considering charging for diesel vehicles like they do in London then this one is for you.My sister loved that we had VW camper and could see us enjoying the great outdoors and the VW events in ours and she wanted one so bad.My sister lives in Bournemouth which is considering charging owners with diesel vehicles so we bought her petrol one so when the charge comes into effect she would be OK.Now my sister enjoys the nicer things in life and in our opinion deep down we knew that she would not enjoy our lovely world of campervanning and we were proved right, she didn't take to it, even though the sun shone so she took her family to Greece instead of going away again with us again (mmm maybe it was us LOL)Thankfully because we kind of new this we kept Lucy in our name so she still has the previous owner that owned it since 1995.We wanted piece of mind so we had her serviced at the beginning of the year along with timing belt aka cambelt change.She also had new ball joint, wheel cylinders, front brake pads, CV boot and new brake fluid, power steering belt and as it was mentioned on the MOT (not failure) we also had new sill.'LUCY'She is amazing to drive and given that petrol is cheaper she gives amazing MPG so that works out fine.She is litre petrol along with speed gearbox, warm heater in winter but most importantly she has power steering.Up front she has nice and comfortable captains chairs with arm rest, Alpine CD Radio and is lovely and clean.Her pop top is amazing condition and is so easy to put up and down with the help of the gas struts.Lucy is original, she has not been lowered so you can still drive in fields and campsites and comes with genuine VW commercial wheels and commercial tyres (lots of tread) which are the correct spec for this vehicle. We did add gear stick extension to make life easier and boy it does the trick.'LUCY THE CAMPER'She is fitted with unit that comprises cupboards, cutlery drawer and great space at the back where normally its the smallest wardrobe in the world, very clever design.In the unit there is Smev double hob for cooking and sink with water from the 12v water pump plus it has glass tops for food preparation.There is fold away table that sits behind the drivers seat when not in use.There is top loading way fridge included in the sale.The bed sofa or 'Rock and Roll bed' as people call them folds from sofa to bed in seconds and back again and has seatbelts.There is 2nd battery fitted in the rear which powers your lights, and control panel which has the switches, battery power gauge and USB charging points. This is charged whilst you are driving.Included in the sale very expensive Khyam drive away awning which makes life so much better for you. We have one for our VW and we put our things in it and have the day out come back and park up to it, AMAZING!Lucy has lots of MOT, she is insured and taxed so you can drive her straight home, pack your personal belongings and go on that holiday you have always dreamed of.For the record Lucy is ultra reliable, always starts 1st time and she will not let you down. Like any vehicle of this age she has had work over the years but she is solid enough and will last you many years to come as long as you look after her, like she has been all her life.Unlike other T4's of this age all of her gauges work and are correct. Faults: sometimes the drivers door doesn't unlock from the outside, you can lock it always though and the passenger door only opens from the inside? It has never bothered us or my sister it would be simple fix with someone in the know, all the other doors are fine.
As you can see we are very passionate about VW campervans because they are way of life, just shame my sister doesn't feel the same so her loss your gain!We are also selling our T5 as we are upgrading to Motion Transporter, now that's VW love.Buying VW campervan you will become part of an amazing VW family, just remember to wave at your fellow 'Dubbers'!
