VW T4 day van camper (this has not been registered with the DVLA as camper as it doesn't not have fixed stove or table). Have placed on auction due to time wasters and now I'd really like to see it driven off to enjoy its new life as costing me on insurance and tax etc.You are bidding to buy NOT view however test drives prior to the auction ended are more than OK.If you have any queries or want specific extra information please ask before the auction ends....
This is truly an opportunity to bag an absolute bargain!
It is with extreme sadness that I’ve taken the reluctant decision to sell on my beloved VW T4 camper. Reason for sale is purely down to the fact that have had several operations on my arm leaving me restricted to driving modified car so it is no longer part daily drive and only used for minimal trips. Hardly done any mileage in the time I've had him.
Red VW T4 day van/camper2.5tdi automatic – yes auto!First registered: 1998MOT: Nov 2019Mileage: 196k (don’t be scared it’s proven reliable engine and over 20 years old!)
It’s great engine with smooth gear box everyone who has seen it/driven it has commented on how seamless gear changes are and how much welly it has off the starting blocks (more so than most) as well as how solid the engine sounds. Always ticks over first time!
I’ve been proactive all the time with works that have been carried out and the only essential works needed was to the horn (luckily hadn’t needed to use it so didn’t know it had loose connection)!
I bought the vehicle in 2017 and it went straight to the garage to get some overdue maintenance and little bit of tidying up done in order to ensure that it’d be trouble free vehicle, see below, I’ve also listed the other works carried out:
05-2017 Upon purchase of the vehicle full preventative maintenance - New water pump and timing belt (was overdue) – new oil pump – new OSR and NSR- brake callipers – new rear brake discs and pads – new rear springs – new front brake- flexi pipes – new PAS return – FULL service07-2017 Waxed underbody to prevent corrosion full preventative ‘MOT’ to correct niggles such as parking sensors, faulty cigarette lighter etc. 09-2017 Upgraded headlights to Osram nightbreakers11-2017 New front shock absorbers11-2018 Repair to horn02-2019  Replacement tyre 02-2019 Replacement main battery with year RAC guarantee
This would fit everyone’s needs. It’s ready to go for camping trips, wild camping, festivals, long term adventures or even BBQ’s down the beach (makes great private changing area after swimming)! Extremely reliable and can easily be trusted daily drive. Has leisure battery, rock’n’roll bed, curtains, windscreen blackout, add on awning for some extra space (be aware this looks little tired). It’s got seats up front and the back seat does have seatbelt but it isn’t Euro5 safe and buckets of storage both cupboards, chest and under seat storage. Does come with the TV/DVD player but everything else in the photo is not included chairs etc.
MOT expires 15.11.2019 (only advisory – small amount of play in steering rack to just monitor)
Bad points, far and few – in fact only two! Bit of paint peel (photos available) which will need addressing in the next few years but no urgency on it and couple of bits you may want to t-cut or touch up where it is faded little and have disconnected the sliding door from the main central locking (it still uses the same key) did this as it made me feel safer as single mum camping in it but I’ve lost the pin to reinstate it but I’m pretty sure garage could fashion you one or if you’re handy you could bend some metal to fit it (literally works on cogs so all it needs is the right length and right angle). Does have rear parking sensors however these are disabled as found them more trouble than they were worth but hope the garage did just disconnect them and not cut the wires.
Larry the Ladybug is ready to live his new life, devastated to say goodbye and see him go but hope he will give his new family as much pleasure and as many smiles as he did us – oh and don’t forget always wave to our close knit T4 community when driving past and you’ll be sure to get acknowledged back and receive that feel good feeling VW campers were designed to give #swishbang
