Welcome to the auction for my much loved, self builtVauxhall Vivaro campervan. purchased the van around years ago for £600 as awork van. It was non runner and took gamble and unfortunately it was nota simple fix. ended up chucking around £2500 at it having complete engine rebuild and included new injectors,turbo, pump etc etc.I new after spending over £3000 at it there was no way Iwould get my money back, therefore thought that turning it into camperwould be good idea. fitted altro safety flooring. Carpets, split chargerelay complete with leisure battery and 12v system, built some units andwrapped them and fitted rock Roll bed. All in all probably cost me another£1000. After finishing the build purchased retro awning thatwill be included in the sale, plus will chuck in 12v fridge. Its registeredwith DVLA as camper therefore insurance is only costing me £17 per month, plusthe same rules as car applies on the duel cartridge way. Finally we thoughtthat we would take it to the South of France for our first trip, so booked theFerry and went the following week. We did around 2500 miles without it missinga beat.When we got back had new brakes all round at cost of£600. Its by far not the best conversion in the world and won’t win any awards,but it’s fully functioning camper that drives like car. We have taken itdown to Cornwall several times last year and west wales couple of times thisyear. Sadly don’t get the time to use it and think it makes more sense tolet someone else get some use out of it.The battery is very strong and was new at the point of therebuild. left it for three months and jumped in it and it started straightaway. Annoyingly it does have very minor oil leak, not big one and havenever had to top it up, but still its worth mentioning. It has also gone intolimp mode which am guessing is just sensor, still perfectly drivable, justcan’t go as quick. On cold start up you do get little bit of smoke when itsfirst started, but it clears within couple of minuets. Its Mot’d for around10 months and has half tank of fuel. Its very economical and its only donearound 102,000 miles.If was keeping it would give it bit of tlc such assome on the carpet on the rear ceiling is sagging little bit and there’s afew minor things would do just to make it an excellent camper, although wehave had loads of fun with it just as it is.I have been as honest as can and expect the same inreturn. Please only bid to buy, Any viewing welcome and any test. If you winwithout viewing that’s up to you, but do expect it to be collected when youturn up, not just to haggle.
