I came about the van as bit of intense buy. With intentions of restoration. But house and family commitments, really just don’t have the time or space.
So unfortunately it’s going to have to go.
The van recently had mot done at the beginning of the month and does require some welding work. And the brakes looking at. It’s both tax and mot exempt, But does require the work on the mot fail. To keep it road worthy. For this reason am selling as restoration project.
It runs and drives It also comes with stack or paper (including the original rf60 logbook)
It’s had many new partsAnd few extras fitted. Including radiator, Headlamps, also looks like it’s had either new or reconditioned carb And also battery.
It starts first time every time. Does require the choke from cold. as any only motor would. ). 2.0 v4 engine
It’s had extra mirrors fitted to the wings to help see past the caravan back
To my knowledge back in 1967, SPRITE built 200 of there caravans to the back of the mk1 transits And shipped 100 abroad, leaving 100 in the Uk, the only information can find on this is that back in 2008 their was only left.
The rear of the van does have electric’s fitted with fuse box but I’ve no means of testing this my self. It also has tolet and dubble bed. With plenty of living space and storage compartments
On the pictures have listed. It shows the mirror portholes clock and barometer These have been removed and no longer fitted.
The van is based in Driffield (East Yorkshire). Viewing before bidding is available. If any more information is required, please don’t hesitate just ask. I’ve advertised the car elsewhere so holding the right to close the auction early if it sells elsewhere. Contact must be within 24 hours of auction ending. And pick up must be within 48 hours unless deposit is taken.

On the mot fail sheet it mentioned small water leak, so today investigated it and saw it was coming from the back of the water pump where the pipe conects so ive put new jubilee clip on it and tightened it up and its snapped the water pump housing, would advise trailering away will still run but only to get it onto trailer, (will over heat and damage engine) unless youve got one spare to fit firstAny questions please just ask and ill answer the best can
