Good evening, welcome to my auction.

No feckwits please! If you happen to be one, please hit the back button now!

I'm selling this lovely old Transit camper on behalf of my girlfiend. She has owned it for or years, but has decided it's time to sell it, for she doesn't have the time to use it much anymore.
It was built as an ambulance by Wadham Stringer on Transit chassis cab. It has proper coach built body which is extremely well made, (they didn't skimp with public funds in those days). Although have to say that one must feel sorry for the poor souls who likely as not bled to death waiting for it's arrival, for it ain't exactly quick! :-)

At some stage it was converted to berth camper. The seats can be re-arranged to provide foot double bed....If you're taller may suggest cutting one's feet off, or bending one's self, (MATRON!) It also has the sink two ring cooker with grill, mains hookup, of course the khasi, which all work pretty well.
Some of the interior lights could do with looking at, but generally it's in very nice order inside. There's plenty of storage space for those bits pieces too.
It also has the benefit of curtains blinds which help keep it warmer during colder nights, being fully insulated with smoked glass windows it stays pretty cool even on hotter days, especially with the sliding windows open.
There's also sliding door that separates the cab from the back. so squealing children can be comfortably ignored. It also has pull down step for leaping in out of the rear doors.

Mechanically it's in very good order. The 2.5 Di engine starts readily, sounds like Satan's Bin wagon when accelerating. It has the benefit of recently reconditioned injector pump, recent oil filter change, pair of brand new Duracell batteries. (No, not that bloody Rabbit). There's an isolator switch which disconnects the batteries prevents them running down when the old beast is standing idle.  The tyres all have good life left in them, the cambelt was changed couple of years ago too.

Unfortunately, the pink fluffy yoghurt weavers have decided that it's not LEZ compliant. So if you live in the London LEZ you had better look elsewhere.

For some reason other road users tend to shy away from it, for it looks quite intimidating :-)  It's not exactly fast......errrr 55-60 mph top whack, but I've had great fun holding up the traffic on hills, trying to get those blasted silly smiley faced roadside speed indicators to frown at me.......Anyway, who wants to live life at breakneck speed? Go slowly smell the flowers! :-)
It doesn't have power steering, so it's pretty manly to drive. If you buy it, you'll save fortune on your gym subscription!

The chassis is in very good order, as is the body. There are couple of areas that could do with some minor attention, but remember it is the thick end of 30 years old!
The wind out awning is pretty large. It looks droopy in the picture, but all it needs is couple of poles to support it. No not eastern Europeans! (I added that for the feckwits on here).

It's MOT'd until the 20th of March next year. Looking at the MOT it's only covered shade over 3k since 2013. It's also been de-rated to class MOT, which makes finding test centre easier.

If you would like to view the beast please contact me. (No feckwits with stoopid questions please). It'll take day or so to bring the camper to my location, as it's currently at my good lady's place few miles away, but the winning bidder will collect it from here.
My number is; 07917 773223 if you have sensible question.

Now for the moaning bit.

The auction is open to UK bidders only.
There is NO buy it now, so don't ask.....Asking will incur the full wrath of my ancient English level!
It's cash on collection only. No cheques, paypal, or IOU's
The winning bidder is to collect the camper within days of the auctions end.
Did mention no Feckwits?

Thank you for reading.
