Up for sale is my 1.3 Daihatsu Hijet ‘Me Julie’ Have owned this beast of micro van forthe past few years, done loads to it but it’s been off the road for the pastyear as another project has taken all my time. No MOT but it’ll make the ideal project/donor for someone. Since owning this I’ve had rollercoasterof joy with the engine, sweet as nut for ages, then years in the headgasketwent which got sorted by garage costing nearly grand, and then only toblow up months later. Long story short sourced anotheridentical engine with 10K less miles and fitted it myself with friend who’s amechanic and it’s been sweet as can be ever since and can confirm it does notoverheat or have any issues. Currently is showing 111,650 on the speedo soroughly 101k miles. This van was being made into as roomycamper as possible so no cabinets but very spacious. Tried and tested at manyfestivals and camping trips. Outside hasbeen resprayed light blue and has some flaking, interior wasn’t but justroller painted the same colour as on to make it colour coded but never gotround to completing the cab. Good Points .4 brand new tyres which have covered 1mile since purchase .New battery .Basic camper conversion with slatted pullout bed .Ply Floor, insulated and carpeted .Tounge and groove cladded walls and doors(not to show standard but nice log cabin feel) .Custom checkered front and back curtainsand sun visor covers (thanks mum) .VW bay window chrome camper wing mirrors £30. Wind deflectors cost £40 .2 sets of keys.De Wipered rear.Tons of paperwork/ receipts etc .CD player .Has got central locking fitted howeverrecently stopped working probabaly an easy fix. .Chandelier on pull string light and drapedwall hanging ceiling .Starts drives stops and doesn’t overheat Bad Points .4 patches of rust which need attention toget through MOT not huge areas but car was being under sealed and so thiswill need to be wirebrushed off before welding) .1 rear cylinder leaking, easy fix but itappears to be seized on at the moment .Boot lid is rusted around where thenumberplate lights were when removed the plastic cover, not an mot failurebut could do with being covered/ welded Boot lid gas struts have given in andwill need replacingTook the doorcards off to refurb them andhaven’t had the time, currently comic book covered. .CD player comes but no speakers included..Corroded brake pipe.Could do with new brakes .Could do with that tracking being done It’s currently sat on friends drive sojust need it gone soon as.Located in Taunton Somerset Will have to be trailered as no MOT &sornCan be seen running if you wish to come andhave look before auction ends Smart little van will be sad to see it gobut it needs some tlc UK bidders only, Please only bid to buy,Collection only Any questions feel free to ask, HappyBidding
