Citroen Berlingo chassis, 1.9 diesel, twoberth, speed, manual, very economical way of motor-homing at around45mpg, power steering, lots of well thought out storage and bigenough to accommodate two adults yet small enough to park in anordinary car-park and to wind around narrow country lanes – wegenerally go to Cornwall in it and love that we can always get oncampsites near the beach. Very easy to drive, it's slightlyhigher up than car, has large windscreen and good all-roundvision so is easy to reverse. Very comfortable for camping in, itdrives lovely and is an excellent starter – starts up first timeeven when left for few weeks.We have found that due to the hy-topwhich is hard top rather than pop-up one it stays warm inside andis therefore suitable for all year round use. The hard top alsooffers more security.The accommodation is compact andbijou but adequate, it's very cosy when the curtains are pulled andyou are cuddled up inside watching TV (there is TV point), the twoside benches slide together to make generous double bed – there'sonly three slats to put in place and it's very quick and easy withthe bedding right above you in the luton; incidentally the curtainsseparate the cab from the living accommodation when pulled and theyhave tie backs for the daytime. There are two mains plug sockets forwhen you have electric hook-up and 12v socket and leisure batteryfor times when you need to be self sufficient, two burner gas hobwith grill, three-way fridge, kitchen sink with cupboard under anda 25L cold water storage tank with pump to the kitchen tap. Thismodel also has switch in the cab for cooling the fridge whentravelling.The van has an incredible amount ofstorage space – the luton above the cab holds all your bedding plusmore besides and there are wall cupboards and ledges all the wayaround. Above the sink there is even hidden wardrobe compartmentwhere you clothes slide down to keep them uncreased.There are plenty of lights, all thewindows open, they have flyscreens and blinds and there is also anopening skylight. The kitchen is tall enough for someone 6ft to standin and cook comfortably and there are two flaps that fold down tomake extra workspace. The living space tapers down heightwise but istall enough for me to stand up in and I'm 5'5.This Romahome comes with a'Quicktent' which confess we've never used, it sits over the doorat the back and gives extra living space, believe it needs the vanto hold it up so you can't drive away and leave it! (If you Googleyou can look at drive-away awnings). Also included in the sale is theelectric hook-up lead, table that folds flat, spare gas bottleand the rear step. On the opposite side to the gas cupboard is ahandy outside lockable storage cupboard, useful for wellies.This van has almost full service history, previous MOTs, full handbook, lots of paperwork showing recent cam-belt, habitation checks etc. We purchased it from reputable dealer (AvonMotor Caravans), who were more than happy to put 12 month warrantyon it to cover absolutely anything, it had new MOT when we boughtit (Oct 15) and it sailed through the next one in Oct 16. We also hadit looked over by very knowledgeable mechanic at the time ofpurchase and were confident to go ahead as due to its immaculatecondition the van has clearly been well looked after and has very lowmileage. The upholstery is spotless, the pedals are unworn andeverything still looks new. IAt the time ofplacing this advert the van has only done 350 miles since the lastMOT.With regard to the warranty nothinghas gone wrong at all, it is the most fantastic 'starter' I've everknown, it's in storage and always starts right up first time evenwhen it's been standing for few weeks, it runs very smoothly and Ialways enjoy driving it.
