This is the iconic Volkswagen Kombi which had production of 64 continuous years in Brazil but killed off at the end of 2013 by safety regulations. There was final addition made at the end of 2013 and that was that. These are surely going to rise in value now, particularly the right hand drive ones.These came with the 1.4l polo petrol engine with about 20+bhp over the original, although still no rocket ship it makes it lot easier and more pleasurable to drive, especially up hills. With everything only being maximum of 12yrs old as well making this massively more reliable than the original, the engine being water and air cooled.These were all made in left hand drive form, but company in the UK called Danbury imported these and converted them in to right hand drive and kitted them out with sink, hob and made in to berth using pop top roof and the sofa converting in to double, I’ve used cot mattress across the front seats for my 5yr daughter so used it as berth. This comes with drive away awning that is really big and makes huge difference, it’s bigger in size than my previous man tent!! Hence the name, you can just unhook it and drive away, come back and it takes minutes to hook back on again and it saves your pitch when you are out and about. This van also comes with seats, up front and in the back, all with seatbelts so seatbelts. There is also towbar, I’ve used it to carry small trailer, which has the awning, camping chairs and few other small items and then it’s full, so very small trailer!This having the pop top roof means that when the bed is not in use can stand up straight and still have room and I’m 6ft3. It has kitchen cupboards small draw size cupboard and separate cupboard to hold the bottles and the pump for the sink, and gas hob. The gas bottle has its special ventilated cupboard at the rear of the units, and above that another useful cupboard. The camper has had the rear re-trimmed to continue the orange theme. It has no curtains but has full new set of magnet blinds/curtains.Comes with cd/radio with front and rear speakers, electric hook up cable, leisure battery, spotlights etc...The downsides are that is has bit of rust running along the bottom of some of the rear side windows and along under the front windscreen on the white original paint. The reason haven’t fixed this is that would want to paint the camper one colour all over if was to keep it as think that would look better and I’m not that keen on the orange, but after speaking to people it seems I’m in the minority as the orange seems very popular! The other downside are that no fridge was fitted in the original conversion.I would put the value of this campervan at £21,000 if the rust and fridge were sorted, so at £17,000 it gives you £4,000 to make how you want, which is way more than you would need and you can have any colour you want. The reason for selling is that think want to go back to caravan, but this is still doing great job in the meantime with lots of days out making them lot more enjoyable and still using it to go away as well. This has to be one of the cheapest Rhd Brazilian Kombi on sale today or ever!
