Up for sale is our 1997 Shasta 250SL 5th wheel camper. We have owned it since 2014 and purchased it from my in-laws who have owned it since 2000. It has been on our family for 17 years and has done great job. We have slept people in it on more times than can remember. Everything works and is original to the camper. We made some upgrades since we have owned it. It does have some areas that need attention but nothing that is cause for concern. We have used it several times each year and this last winter my brother in law stayed in it full time for semester of college.

The upgrades:
New Roof installed Jan. 2016 $2600
Water heater has electric element installed, can run on gas or electric or both $200
Small fan in bathroom was replaced with Heng's retro fan with speeds $75
New Bilstein 4600 shocks installed Summer 2015, really helped the ride quality $300
I also have some slide supports that will leave for the asking price $125
We changed the old thermostat with digital one, keeps the temps inside more constant. $75

The good:
Roof is new, no leaks
Has deep slide out that is the whole wall of the kitchen and living room area, really adds extra room
All original appliances that work great
Awning is in good shape and works just fine.
It has new deep cycle battery in 2015.  keep it charged up with small trickle charger when we don't use it.  
It is lightweight fifth wheel.  Unloaded weight is somewhere around 6200lbs, and max vehicle weight is around 8000lbs. 

The bad:
The roof leaked little before we got it replaced, one of the vent caps blew off during storm, didn't cause any structural damage, only small cosmetic damage in living room roof. Maybe the size of soccer ball.
The roof leaked on the slide out by window and caused the wall paper to get soft and it tore and damaged the corner trim. The leak has been fixed and the corner trim fixed.
The ladder can't support much weight, the star washers in the ladder that bolts it to the camper have rusted and haven't gotten new ones because just used regular ladder to do the roof maintenance.

You won't be able to look it up on NADA or any other website like that and haven't ever seen another 250SL.  When we had the roof replaced the dealer looked up the closest one to it with slide out and it was 275SL. Other than that it is good camper and wish it to go to good home where someone will take care of it. There is lot of our stuff that is in the camper that doesn't stay, all the items in the storage compartment pictures doesn't stay, our upgraded residential mattress doesn't stay, will put the regular rv mattress back in.  If you have questions about what does and doesn't stay please let me know.  It has lot of memories for me and my wife and want it to go to new family to make some memories in of their own.
