bought this sad little Safari Airstream, all decked out in olive drab, with an interior in shambles. decided I'd make it over into rolling writer's retreat (Google Sonny Brewer), and do it up in Caribbean colors. New carpet, new light fixtures, solid floor, composting toilet requires no holding tank, new memory foam mattress, new kitchen and bath sinks and fixtures, new tires and new spare, new LG portable air, etc. New Sunbrella awning that stretches out to poles, and slips out for folding to carry. ditched the propane bottles and most of that system and use electric heat, though the furnace is still in place. Very cool original-era aluminum awnings. Bomber Girl painting on door, interior. Lots of funky custom touches. My Leopold Stickley desk, personal art pieces, etc., remains with me. Still some things to do, but mostly there.
