This completely unmolested original 1942 Chev 30 cwt Body Truck is great restoration project- have restored of these old trucks and have included photo of an identical truck to the one have up for sale that fully restored as an illustration purposes. The truck starts and runs nicely and is driveable although the brakes are not working. There is of course rust in places around the back of the cab behind the seat and under the doors- this is quite common (it is after all almost 80 years old) but the panels are pretty straight and because the cabs and panels were made out of good solid steel they are easy to weld and plate up. The windows and windscreens are all there but they have cracks etc- found the local windscreen shop would cut glass and fit pretty cheap for me so thats not an issue really. The seats are buggered but used to put banch seat or couple of buckets also looks good. It is complete and would have restored it myself but no longer have the capacity to do so. The tyres are just to hold it up and the tray is just roughly boarded- so it is clean project ready to get back to its former glory. The truck is located in Charters Towers QLD 4820 and am able to assist with loading and possibly cart it short distance (say to Townsville) if required to meet freight that the buyer may organize. Inspections are very welcome if you wish to.
