VISCOUNT  DURALVAN  16 foot   - with  fibreglass ends-  rare vintage caravan from 1968-1970!!!Registered until 4th November 2017 Rego No: Z04908 Chassis number 326A 15'6 7'6 living space so 4.72 metres  x 2.29 metresMajor overhaul carried out years ago, now just needs new owner to add their own finishing touches and outfit the van to their own requirements.  Strong and Lightweight weighs in at 700kg with towball weight of just 26kg!!  - tows well and does not sway. Aluminium framed and aluminium clad on strong steel chassis, well engineered, this will never rot like timber framed ones.Rare fibreglass ends Viscount used this upgraded system on this model only for yearsPowerful Alko Electric brakes with manual inertia over-ride. All New tyres including spareFull size traditional canvas annexe with windows and flyscreen Pick up only at Kellyville NSWCall Wayne on 0411209731 if you have any questions I'll be happy to help you.Extra details:Steel chassis and underbody fully undercoated and resprayed New paint Exterior scrubbed, sanded, caulked and repainted in UV resistant acrylic paint have original photos prior to restoration if interested.Wheel bearings checked and found to be in excellent condition, spare set included but not necessaryAlko Electric Brakes with upgraded cablingNew brake lights and clearance lights fitted all round.New Jockey wheel.Wheel clamp includedCeiling lining intact !! Normally these have rotted away so it is rare to find one in this condition.Rotten Chipboard window sills typical of this vintage have been carefully replaced with solid pacific maple. These are structural items that normally found decayed in the viscounts. There is full set of clean shear white curtains stowed in the wardrobe which have been washed and are in excellent condition that fit on elastic draw cords, not shown on the pictures There are flyscreens on every window and roof hatchrh replica Viscount fittings The original Viscount clock still works and keeps good time!!Heaps of little cupboards and storage hatches for all odds and bods.Gas piping provision to kitchen is intact up to floor level.Plastic steps included. The annexe is well made and fits together logically for watertight connection.  There is draw bead fitted to the side of the van through which the main edge of the annexe roof is drawn. There are plenty of rafter tubes and poles to providing sturdy structure.  There are clear windows with zippers and flyscreens all in excellent order. The pictures show the first and only time the annexe was assembled so it looks bit crumpled as we didnt set it up properly with all the poles.  There is even closing skirt piece that fits to the side of the van to block off drafts and mosquitoes from the under the van it fits with press studs all very simple and logical. The poles stow away in the tube at the rear of the van.I've only ever used it on unpowered sites so dont know if the 240v wiring works. The internal 12v lights are not working haven't spent much time trying to get them to work but it probably wouldn't take much.  I bought some LED bayonet globes to replace the standard bayonet globes but never got around to installing them. The aluminium roof has few hailstone dings but hey that's part of the character! Signs of its previous life. There are cracked windows but they dont leak costs about $30 to replace the glass if the cracks worry you.The window seals could do with replacing all around they've been like that in the years I've owned it and I've just lived with it. The seals are readily available on roll and are easy to replace, just dont have the time to do it. Water does get in to the rear left corner not sure where its coming from as all the roof seams have been recaulked with polyurethane sealant  - it's most likely due to the window sash seals some silicon around the window frame might fix it.The holding nut on the jockey wheel clamp has been rounded off so you have to use stillson spanner or vice grips to tighten it.Some of the veneer is lifting on some of the cupboard doors and some handles are missing. The original folding steps are missing but the bracket is still there if you are handy you could adapt some after market ones to fit.The water tank under the floor requires replacement if you intend to install working sink. The Waeco fridges are not included they are worth $400 each ($1000 each new) will be selling them separately.TV not included but the flat screen tv wall bracket is included so you can mount it on the wall next to the door Gas cylinder not includedPortable tables, portable lights, chairs and camping equipment and accessories not includedFoam mattresses on the beds not includedConditions of sale:
