If you are looking for comfortable, functional and reliable camper van to wander Australia in- this is it. I bought this bus and converted it into an off-grid camper van during gap year of uni. The conversion of this van was extremely well researched and designed the fit out to suit both weekend/short trips away as well as for full time Van-Life. Had many great adventures in this van but am now selling to fund my next great adventure.-------------THE VAN 1998 Toyota Hiace Commuter Bus 5 Sp Manual, cylinder 2.4L It was previously owned as local school bus. Kept in amazing mechanical condition, serviced regularly. Air-conditioning works well (front and rear). Very low kms for its age (Approx. 183,000).Hi-top roof: can stand up and move around with easy (I am approx 165cms) Some exterior rust (seen in picture) which is expected for its age. Seats people in this front, or fold the middle seat down for cupholders/middle compartment. Registered until the 12th Feb 19---------------INSULATION/STEALTHIt is completely insulted with industrial grade Ametalin ThermalBrane and residential insulation batts- This will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. The window coverings are custom made out of Thermalbrane and blackout material for the exterior surface. This blocks out lot of heat and any light from the inside of the van. This was created for the stealth factor (aka no 3am wake up calls from police/rangers). They are easily removable if you want to open the windows/take in the view. ---------------BED/LOUNGE The bed is made up of 2x custom designed memory foam sections with removable covers for easy washing. Very comfortable and has the option of sleeping as small single or make double bed. ---------------SOLAR/ELECTRICITY Travel Australia off grid.  Fitted with 2x 160 12V flexible solar panels which is regulated through 40A MPPT Solar Charge Controller.  This is connected to 130AH 12V AGM Deep Cycle Battery which provides the van with enough power to run small fridge, fan, charge multiple devices (through 12V and 2x USB ports) during the day and run interior LED lighting at night.
