1982 Jayco pop top caravan. Immaculate condition outside, fair to good condition inside for its age. The drop down bunk at the front makes for an incredibly handy interior layout. Has double bed at the rear, and the drop down dining table makes for small extra bed. Overall will sleep five (two adults and three kids),two plus four little kids, or two plus two comfortably. Four burner stove plus oven/grill, two way fridge (have used it on both gas and mains electric). Has roll out awning that is little tatty, but still works well.As said, this layout is super handy and flexible depending on your needs.Has jockey wheel that swings up and out of the way when not in use.Full canvas awning (but we've never used it).Registered til July 2020.
The positives:the exterior is excellentI recently spent couple of thousand on complete overhaul of the electrics, the brakes, wheel bearings and tyresit has internal wiring for 12V setup, but haven't utilised it. But it's there if you're keen on free campingI'll throw in weight distribution hitch, towing mirrors, and one of the gas bottlesit's relatively light (tare 950kg) and easy to tow, and setting up is easy. Once you're unhitched, you can be cooking dinner in under half an hour.it has loads of cupboard spaceThe negatives:there are plenty of scuffs and scratches inside. It has seen lot of use, but all cupboards etc. work fine.there is evidence of old leaks (see pic), but  these have been sealed up. When bought it, it was sitting in the rain, and everything was watertight.the carpet has seen better days (see pic)the awning is also bit frayed in spots, but it still works finefor some reason the previous owner removed the motor from the range hood (not that we really missed it)Reason for sale: it has mostly been sitting in the carport, not being used since we bought it couple of years ago. The kids are older now and are not interested in camping any more.Don't be like us we procrastinated, then bought van when it was too late! You could buy this van and use it quite comfortably as is. Especially since lot has been spent on the electrics, brakes etc. You could spend bit and replace the awning, or perhaps spend bit of time and effort and replace the cupboards.If you are thinking of buying van for your tribe, this would be an excellent starting point.If need be, we can negotiate re. switching the electric brake controller from our car to yours.The van is in Red Hill South, Victoria.Happy bidding.Low ball offers will not be responded to.
