Without question, an absolute icon
The Winnebago Chieftain is *the* original luxury motorhome and set the benchmark for RV's for decades to come.
This vehicle represents one-in-a-lifetime chance to own unique piece of history that you can actually regularly use and enjoy while it increases in value.  Make no mistake, this is the only one in Australia, let alone one that's been converted to right hand drive, been lovingly restored over many years, is mechanically sound and road-registered til August 2020.
This vehicle oozes 70's charm and has inspired genre of its own with websites, die-cast models and multiple movie appearances to its name.
Aussies will recognise this vehicle straight off as it's been front and centre in millions of households over the last few years.  Remember the NRMA Insurance ad with Betty, the lovely old lady and her biscuits?  This vehicle was the one used in the ad sought out by NRMA Insurance who paid $4K for day's filming in 2016.
Fans of 'The Walking Dead' will also recognise it as Dale's RV from the hit AMC series (minus the zombie gore)
This RV is in excellent condition and is pleasure to drive especially on the freeway.  The engine is Chevy big block V8 and runs on dual gas cylinders (2 350 =700kms range) for great fuel economy.  She was imported by Melbourne family in the 80's who after using it regularly, sold it few years later.  Then in the early 2000's they bought it back into the family and extensively renovated the interior, maintaining originality where they could.  I bought it in 2017, then spent over $12,000 on overhauling the mechanics to get it in roadworthy condition (receipts available).

Negatives...
It’s big. About 7.5m so storage may be an issue. Need Light Rigid licence to drive it (it’s 5,400kgs)Whilst it drives well the turning circle is not good so tight streets best to be avoided. Few things need fixing up inside (like securing shower screen, broken cupboard door) Can’t get the fridge working (though it might well be fixable was working when got it)
No room to store in my busy street so it needs to go to new home ready to roll with rego til August 2020
